Après avoir été Konzertmeister de l’Orchestre de la Tonhalle de Zurich, il suit les mastersclasses données par Franco Gulli, Walter Levin et le Quatuor Melos.
Avant de rejoindre les Berliner Philharmoniker, en participant à des formations de l’orchestre : le Sharoun Ensemble, les Baroque soloists. Il a été chef adjoint de l’orchestre de chambre de Wà¼rttemberg Heilbronn et membre de l’Orchestre Royal du Concertgebouw.
Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang is an artist of supreme musicianship, impeccable refinement, and poise, as evidenced by the numerous awards and honors she has received since bursting onto the scene by winning the Indianapolis International Violin Competition in 2010, following successes at the Seoul Violin Competition (2009) and the Sendai Violin Competition (2010).
Her cycle of Beethoven violin sonatas with pianist Sunwook Kim, released by Accentus last season, received excellent reviews and nominations.
