Sir András Schiff has devoted his life in a way to the “great classics” and maintains a privileged relationship, on the keyboard as well as on the desk, with the works and worlds of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Beethoven, Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert. This evening's program combines the elegant classicism of Haydn, the joyful spirit of Mozart and the power of Schubert.
Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang is an artist of supreme musicianship, impeccable refinement, and poise, as evidenced by the numerous awards and honors she has received since bursting onto the scene by winning the Indianapolis International Violin Competition in 2010, following successes at the Seoul Violin Competition (2009) and the Sendai Violin Competition (2010).
Her cycle of Beethoven violin sonatas with pianist Sunwook Kim, released by Accentus last season, received excellent reviews and nominations.
