Champs-Elysées Theater
For this first recital at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, she has chosen to draw on a repertoire that she knows like the back of her hand, having performed it on stage and on record.
It is an understatement to say that the young Russian Anna Vinnitskaya, who has now been living in Germany for several years, grew up in an environment where music reigns supreme.
Judge for yourself: her grandfather was a conductor at the Odessa Opera, her parents are both pianists and piano teachers, her uncle Alexander Vinnitski, a student of Oistrakh, is a concert violinist who now teaches at the Helsinki Conservatory, her brother is a percussionist”¦ She herself won First Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2007, and has a brilliant career as a recitalist, soloist, and teacher.
The evening begins with Schumann and then Chopin, whom she recently recorded and whose nuances she knows how to capture. Finally, to conclude, Ravel, for whom she admits a deep admiration, – “Ravel captivates me with what he contains that is both pure and childlike, secret, direct, almost naive, and exceptionally learned.”
This evening, she should thus demonstrate the full range of her technical virtuosity and her sense of color.
