Daniel Barenboim returns to the Philharmonie with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. In addition to Bruckner's Symphony No. 9, which is integral to his work, he has included Beethoven's Triple Concerto in his program, accompanied by Anne-Sophie Mutter and Yo-Yo Ma. A truly remarkable event.
Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang is an artist of supreme musicianship, impeccable refinement, and poise, as evidenced by the numerous awards and honors she has received since bursting onto the scene by winning the Indianapolis International Violin Competition in 2010, following successes at the Seoul Violin Competition (2009) and the Sendai Violin Competition (2010).
Her cycle of Beethoven violin sonatas with pianist Sunwook Kim, released by Accentus last season, received excellent reviews and nominations.
