With his legendary orchestra, of which he is musical director for life, Daniel Barenboim majestically inaugurates the Piano**** season with a complete performance of Beethoven's Symphonies to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth.
Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang is an artist of supreme musicianship, impeccable refinement, and poise, as evidenced by the numerous awards and honors she has received since bursting onto the scene by winning the Indianapolis International Violin Competition in 2010, following successes at the Seoul Violin Competition (2009) and the Sendai Violin Competition (2010).
Her cycle of Beethoven violin sonatas with pianist Sunwook Kim, released by Accentus last season, received excellent reviews and nominations.
