Created in 2017, the Boulez Ensemble is a group with a flexible structure, composed largely of musicians from the Berlin Staatskapelle and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Its mission is to create musical dialogues between the past and the present through an eclectic repertoire ranging from the 19th to the 21st century. Collaborating regularly with internationally renowned conductors and soloists, the ensemble quickly established itself as a major player on the Berlin music scene.

The mission of the Boulez Ensemble is to create fascinating musical dialogues between the past and the present. His repertoire spans from the 19th to the 21st century and explores works ranging from duos to larger ensemble formations. He thus approaches pieces that are on the fringes of the usual repertoire of traditional symphony orchestras.

The ensemble is largely composed of musicians from other prestigious groups such as the Berlin Staatskapelle and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
Its flexible structure, without a list of permanent interpreters, allows it to adapt to the requirements of each program.

The Boulez Ensemble collaborates regularly with renowned conductors and soloists. Among them are Zubin Mehta, Matthias Pintscher, Antonio Pintscher, Antonio Pappano, Antonio Pappano, Simon Rattle, François-Xavier Roth, Jörg Widmann, Emmanuel Pahud, Emmanuel Pahud, Christiane Karg, and Magdalena Kožená.

The Boulez Ensemble quickly established itself as an important player on the Berlin and international music scene. He offers a series of concerts at the Pierre Boulez Saal and participates in international tours.

The Ensemble follows in the footsteps of Pierre Boulez, who was a major figure in contemporary music.
Composer, conductor and founder of institutions such as the Ensemble InterContemporain and IRCAM, Boulez profoundly marked the musical life of the second half of the 20th century.
